The beginning of the year means a fresh start and while some people don’t believe in “new years resolutions,” I’ve always seen it as more of a setting-the -tone for the rest of the year kinda thing. My 2016 was pretty awesome, especially in the singing-songwriting department: I won Grand Prize in Pop for the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, I was a finalist in the Unsigned Only Music Competition, my second single Frequency was recorded and produced, and I started writing for my acoustic EP set to release early this year.
I posted on Instagram recently that I was going to focus on two things in 2017: make a decision and just do it (aka don’t waste time thinking and thinking and thinking… *yawn*) and take every opportunity I can get.
This year, you can expect the following from me:
(1) an acoustic EP will be released and I will perform in/around the GTA
(2) my music video for “Put It Down on Me” will drop and
(3) I hope to work on another single.
I’ve also been looking at securing a career within the music/entertainment industry, checking out grants for artists and looking at opportunities for growth and guidance in my singer-songwriting career from industry professionals.
It’s going to be one heck of a ride and I’m so glad you can join me on it.
I can’t wait!!! *happy dance*
