who’s that girl?

If you never try, you’ll never know.  – said a wise person once

This is a story about a girl. A girl who quit her stable 9-5 working as a staff accountant at a “big four” firm to try her hand as a singer-songwriter. Her co-workers thought she was crazy. Her best-friend thought she wasn’t the brightest. But you see, she was happy. And she was all that mattered. Her name is Tinah and she will forever go down in the books as, “the singing accountant.”

Most recently, Tinah and her producer won the Grand Prize in Pop for session one of the 2016 John Lennon Songwriting Competition. They took home a prize worth $8000 and proceeded to beat out session two’s Grand Prize winner to land them as the overall 2016 Lennon Award Winner in Pop. Tinah was also a Finalist in the 2016 Unsigned Only competition.

Her most recent endeavour is to build more of an audience through covers of popular songs. She is also busy working on her 4-song EP which is slightly overdue… but good things come to those who “work.” And besides, “better late than never, but never late is better,” so thanks for that reminder Drake.
